Grow sprouts for fresh food this winter
The truth is that, you don't need a greenhouse or the absolute perfect window, the sprouts can grow with the limited light.
Sprouts are incredibly healthy. Contained inside a single seed is everything it needs to grow into a hearty plant. And that’s exactly why these tiny seeds are such great sources of nutrients. Sprouts grow wonderfully indoors, and they add a burst of flavor to a wide variety of dishes.
How to Sprout Seeds
Seeds require very little in order to sprout, mainly to be kept moist and in contact with air.
The following simple methods fulfill the requirements. First rinse your seeds a couple of times, then soak them overnight in a clean jar of water. Dump the soaked seeds into the bag, wet it thoroughly, then hang the bag on a hook to drain, or dump the soaked seeds in a glass jar. Cover the jar with fine-mesh cloth or window screen, and secure it with a rubber band around the lip.
Turn the glass over into a container to catch dripping water.

Of course herbs from Thailand - The Thai cuisine has the reputation of being one of the best cuisines in the world. This is characterized in particular by their fresh, healthy ingredients, fresh herbs, gentle preparation and not least by their sharpness. The Thais love the food spicy. The term "sharp" is really to be taken seriously in its meaning. Thai dishes are often seasoned with chili and curries and flavored with ginger and spices, but most important is the harmony of the cooking ingredients.
Agasta is a delicious sour flowers that should not be missed.
It's full of calcium and phosphorus. Flowers enhance the body immunity and also has medicinal value, for the balance of the body in the medicine of Thailand. In fact, there are many benefits of it. So if you are planting flowers for your consumption, you are on the right way.
A small, fast growing tropical legume tree, to a height of 10 m. It has exceptionally large pea flowers which range in colour from white and pink through to red. The leaves are finely pinnate and the seedpods are long and narrow. It is adapted to the tropics and is frost sensitive. Agati does best in warm humid areas, it does not tolerate temperatures below 10°C, but it will grow in a wide range of soils, even poor ones.
Sow: Wait for warm, weather to sow; a soil temperature of at least 25°C is needed.
Seed Preparation: It can be direct sown or sown into seedling trays for later transplanting. It is very important to use a free-draining seed raising mix.
Spacing: Plant out at 1.5 - 2 m spacings. Agati can be propagated by cuttings or seedlings.
Young leaves, flowers and tender pods are all favourite Asian vegetables. In Thailand, the flowers are called dok khae. The leaves contain over 36% crude protein (dry weight) and with their high mineral and vitamin content, they make a nutritious, vegetable.
Thai kaffir lime seeds (lemon leaf)
Indispensable for Thai dishes - the kaffir lime provides a special, refreshing-spicy taste. The valued parts are the leaves and the peel or zest of the limes. The fresh leaves are usually used in the kitchen. It can be
boiled, in the same way as bay leaves, in sauces and supple foods, giving a spicy, lemon-like flavor to the food.
A really tropical citrus, which wants to have warmth all year round and is best kept as a potted plant in the room. When you receive the seeds, wrapping them in damp kitchen towel for 12 hours before planting.
Combine together equal parts of peat, loam and sand in a bucket. Fill the growing media into individual small pots until filled.
Put the pots into a warm, bright location. The location should have a consistent temperature of between 21 and 25 deg. Celsius at all times. The Kaffir Lime likes, eight to 10 hours of light daily also should be available. Germination of the Kaffir lime tree seeds can begin in as little as 1 week, but can take up to 4 weeks.
Pot up the Kaffir lime tree seedlings into larger containers when they're about 2 to 3 inches tall. Give fertilizer once every 2 months to encourage plant growth.
How to Grow Thai-Herbs
When I first fell in love with gardening, my biggest seducer was herbs. I found herbs to be not only one of the easiest types of plants to grow, but they were also the most fun to create a garden with - not to mention the most versatile group of plants out there.
Among the tremendous species of herbs from which I could choose, basil (Ocimum basilicum) was one of my favorites to experiment with. I found that not only was basil easy to grow and handy for the kitchen, but storing and propagating basil was a snap.
