Sculpture Art Maximilian Stockenhuber born on 28 September 1921 in Andrichsfurt, is a municipality in the district in Upper Austria Ried in innviertel; died on 25 April 1998 in Linz, he was an Austrian sculptor.


The range of his artistic representations varies from nearly seemingly realistic to stormy expressionist and abstract idiosyncratic expressions. Three-dimensional works in stone, wood, metal and ceramics but also graphics, watercolors and woodcuts and linocuts show the diversity of his artistic career.


But are also typical for the artist are the sculptures in wood or aluminum, which are  very soft and flowing figures are fascinating, captivating and charming yet again.

 

 


The more than 140 cm high "prophet" in wood is impressive in its expressiveness.
